CLARK, NJ - The Clark Fire Department was on the scene of a single-vehicle accident at approximately 4:30 a.m. Sunday.   According to department officials, the accident was on the northbound side of the Garden State Parkway. Upon arrival, emergency personnel found a car that had rolled over and hit the guard rail.

A single occupant was trapped in the car.  The FD worked to stabilize the car and removed the driver.   The person was then transported to the hospital by the Clark Volunteer Emergency Squad.

Clark FD officials said althought this car violently impacted the guard rail, it might have been exactly what stopped the vehicle from landing in the river as several other cars have in this area in recent years.
