CLARK, NJ – The Clark Police Department announced via social media Wednesday that sentencing was completed for Thiruvenk Srinivasan, the driver in the hit-and-run that resulted in the death of 82-year-old James B. Leinbach last October.
Police said Srinivasan, 78, of Edison was sentenced to probation for three years and will make restitution for funeral expenses to Leinbach’s family for expenses related to his funeral. He must also take a mature driver’s course given by the state.
According to their statement, Clark Police said Srinivasan’s license has been suspended for a year, leaving restoration of his driving privileges to the court.
