Construction to Begin on Walnut Avenue on Wednesday Night

CLARK, NJ – Walnut Avenue will be closed for road work from Valley Road to South Avenue in Cranford  starting Wednesday, Sept. 13.

To minimize impact, the work will be done from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning, weather permitting. The work will begin on the Clark side and is expected to last eight nights, according to authorities.

“The work being performed will consist of various road improvements, such as milling, paving, and striping of the road,” the message from the Cranford PD reads.

A detour route will be posted. Access to homes in the work zone for deliveries and other services will be allowed as much as possible.
