CLARK, NJ – It's a spring tradition.  Young boys and girls putting on their uniforms, climbing into the beds of pick up trucks, or joining friends hand by hand to carry large banners in the anual Clark Little League and Girls' Softball Parade.

Saturday's parade started at Arthur L. Johnson High School and continued along Westfield Avenue and Raritan Road. The girls stopped at the fields adjacent to the Clark Recreation Center while the boys continued down to Ruddy Place and the nearby fields.

Families and friends walked along side the teams or lined the streets catching candy being tossed by parade participants to waiting hands.   After the parade, each league held an opening day ceremony that included team introductions, the National Anthem and remarks from league officials.
