CLARK, NJ – The Arthur L. Johnson High School boys basketball team ended its season with a 60-45 loss to Rumson-Fair Haven in the first round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group 2 tournament on Tuesday, March 3.

The eighth-seeded Crusaders were outscored 22-15 in the fourth quarter by the ninth-seeded Bulldogs.

Agustine Puentes put in 14 points for Johnson, finishing with three 3-pointers. Aidan Laughery added nine points and Anthony Ferreira had eight for Johnson.

Geoffrey Schroeder scored 26 points for Rumson-Fair Haven. Jack Carroll added 17 points and five blocks for Rumson.

Rumson-Fair Haven advanced to the sectional quarterfinals to play top-seeded Manasquan in a battle of Shore Conference foes.

Johnson finished a positive season with a 15-9 record.
