CLARK, NJ - Construction is under way on a turf field at Bartell Park after a recent ground breaking ceremony. Clark’s Town Council approved a bond ordinance at their January meeting authorizing the installation of a synthetic turf field.
The field will be used by the over 700 children in the Clark Soccer Club, which is made up of recreation, intercounty and travel teams.
"The club is extremely excited about the construction of the new turf field at Bartell Park. This field will be a great addition to our town.” said Jason Katz, Executive Board Member and Travel Coordinator of the Clark Soccer Club.
The field is being financed by the Clark Soccer Club, a grant from Union County and the township of Clark. More information about the economics of the project was shared at the council meeting when approval to construct the field was granted.
“This day would not have been possible without the full support of Mayor Bonaccorso and his team. We can't thank this group enough for what they did for the club and the youth in our community. We eagerly await the completion of the field for the start of the fall season," said Katz.
