KEMAH — The Clear Lake Elks Lodge #2322 in Kemah is hosting the 53rd annual Blessing of the Fleet boat parade on Sunday, April 25, 2021. The parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the round intersection of Clear Creek Channel Marker 13 and Lakewood Channel and go through the Kemah Boardwalk out to marker 7and 8 and come back. The parade is scheduled to commence at 3:30 p.m, followed by an award ceremony at 4:30 p.m. held at the Elks Lodge. 

The boats will be blessed by a minister as they pass by the Kemah Boardwalk. The Elks Lodge wishes blessings and safe travels to all the boaters in the community. The $35 entry fee will support the Clear Lake Elks Lodge in assisting local veterans and special-needs children's programs. 

The Theme of this year's parade is “Elks in Paradise”. There will be a contest based on the originality of the theme, costumes, time & effort, quality & quantity of decorations, and enthusiasm of the captain & crew. 

A registration form is required in order to participate in the contest. Captains must pick up their boat numbers Saturday, April 24th at the Elk's Lodge.
