CORAL SPRINGS, FL – The iconic Coral Springs “Covered Bridge” will be closed for the next four to six weeks for repairs after it was struck last week by a truck, city officials said Monday.

Crews working on the bridge over NW 95 Avenue will replace the main support beam on the south side, which was damaged, along with a few roof trusses.

The 40-foot bridge built in 1964 was struck by a driver who was towing an excavator on a trailer, officials said.
