CORAL SPRINGS, FL- A lot of students have a lot of time right now to do community work. So what can they do?

That will be the subject of Tuesday’s Facebook Live discussion at 12:30 pm between Coral Springs Mayor Scott Brook and Parkland student Sinan Kassim, who has served as “Parkland's Mayor for a Month” in 2019.

The two will also talk about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on the two cities. But mostly the conversation will center on the needs of youth people and opportunities for them to get involved during these unprecedented times.

"I feel that during times of crisis, our community looks to our leaders for support. I wanted to create an opportunity for local leadership to address youth. Today, finding innovative ways to engage and connect with youth is more important than ever because our reality is now a virtual reality,” Kassim said.
