Police pulled over their car a short time later at 5300 University Drive and found out that one of the women involved in the robbery was carrying an infant.

Officers charged Willandera Lofton, 21, Danielle Hardy, 19, Shi niel Murray, 19, and Diamond Lofton with robbery-related crimes in the June 29 incident, the report said.

The baby girl found in the car was the daughter of Willandera Lofton, the report said. As Lofton was getting arrested, police called the baby’s father, Omarrie Goings, to get the baby but officers determined he had a warrant for his arrest. Police then called the Goings’ mother, the baby’s paternal grandmother, to take the child.

Police called a child abuse hotline and were told the case would not be assigned to an investigator.

In all, the women took from the store three detergents, a box of baby diapers, and three pregnancy tests, a total theft of $261, the report said. The name of the store was blanked out in the police report.

According to the police report, eyewitnesses and police accused Willandera Lofton of driving the car. Diamond Lofton is accused of spraying the person in the store with mace.

Willandera Lofton also faces charges related to not having a driver’s license, driving a car with an expired tag, speeding, not having a proper child restrain seat, and not having proof of insurance.

Police found the stolen merchandise in the car, the report said.

Willandera Lofton and Diamond Lofton are sisters.

Willandera Lofton, Hardy, and Murray were booked in the Broward County Jail.
