CORAL SPRINGS, FL – A man was shot Wednesday morning in Coral Springs, prompting schools to be put on lockdown in the city’s northwest corridor and in Parkland as police looked for the shooter, police said.
The injured man was taken to Broward Health North shortly after the 6:30 am shooting in the 700 block of NW 54 Place, an area of North Wyndham Lakes, police said.
His condition wasn’t known.
By 8:30 am, the schools were reopened.
Police were investigating what led up to the shooting and didn’t provide any more details.
