CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Florida reported 1,613 new Covid-19 cases on Monday – the lowest number of cases since mid-October, according to health officials.
Still, the statewide positivity rate for Sunday’s testing was 8%, the highest figure in the past two weeks, according to the Florida Department of Health.
Florida continues to lead the country in cases of Covid-19 variants. The state has 3,510 cases of the U.K. strain, 126 cases of the Brazilian variant, and 27 cases of the South African strain, according to the latest data from Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.
As of Monday, 7,291,420 people have received vaccines in Florida, and 4,447,965 people have been fully vaccinated, according to the Florida Department of Health.
In Broward County, 658,865 people have been vaccinated.
