CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Two car crashes late Monday afternoon snarled traffic across Coral Springs, leaving at least one person injured, police and fire officials said.

Both crashes involving six cars happened right around the same time, shortly before 6 p.m.

According to police, the crash at Sample Road and Riverside Drive involved four cars. At least one person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police shut down the westbound lanes of Sample Road after the crash.

The other crash happened at Ramblewood Drive and University Drive between two cars, police said.  

The southbound lanes of University Drive were closed until the crash was cleared.
