CORAL SPRINGS, FL - The Coral Springs Museum of Art is launching a first-ever virtual summer camp program for young artists ages 6-15 on June 15.
The 10-week program, Zoom into the Studio, offers students the chance to develop artistic skills in an interactive atmosphere with lessons taught by professional artists.
“In our museum, we profoundly believe art can benefit our community as an outlet for education, therapy, cognitive and emotional development, among so much more” Brittany Curtis, programs and education manager for the Coral Springs Museum of Art, said in a news release.
She added: “Now more than ever, we need to be creative and find ways to offer channels of support to our residents, be it educationally or emotionally, and that’s exactly what our Zoom into the Studio program aims to accomplish. The potential benefits through this program – for the children and their families – are endless.”
Weekly lessons will be conducted through the video conferencing app, Zoom, and are offered daily, Monday through Friday for an hour and a half. The price of the lessons are $54 a week for members and $60 for non-members.
