CORAL SPRINGS, FL - Coral Springs Coconut Creek Regional Chamber of Commerce officially installed Friday its 2020 Board of Directors at the annual State of the Chamber Presented by Fiserv event.
About 150 chamber members and others also gathered at Heron Bay Marriott to welcome Andrea Jacobs, managing partner of Brodzki Jacobs, as the chamber’s new 2020 Chair.
Jacobs stressed the importance of growing the chamber’s membership, doing more events in Coconut Creek, and working with local governments to continue building a friendly environment for companies to open in Coral Springs and Coconut Creek and expand their operations.
Tim Hogans, of Florida Power and Light who is the chamber’s past chair, highlighted the chamber's many activities over the past year, including:
- The chamber’s membership has grown from 392 companies/organizations in 2019 to 463 in 2020.
- Organizers raised $7,000 for local school initiatives through the education foundation.
- There were 22 ribbon cuttings for new businesses as well as 225 events.
