CORAL SPRINGS, FL – A software company based in The Walk of Coral Springs has won a $4 million contract from the Federal Aviation Administration to work on nationwide flight safety issues.
The company, Hilton Software, announced earlier this month that it won the contract to provide the administration with software and data support related to flight operations.
“It is an honor to continue working with the FAA’s Flight Program Operations to improve the safety of flight for all pilots by ensuring the integrity of instrument approaches and airway procedures that constitute our National Airspace System infrastructure,” Dr. Hilton Goldstein, CEO and founder of Hilton Software, said in a news release.
Goldstein could not be reached for comment.
Founded in 2003, Hilton Software specializes in developing mobile software for the aviation industry. It’s a prime contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense, winning more than $30 million in contracts from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, according to the company’s website.
City officials are pushing to attract more technology companies such as Hilton Software to Coral Springs.
“This is the start of something big,” said Coral Springs Mayor Scott Brook, who visited Goldstein in his office last week. “I am proud that Hilton Software chose Coral Springs as its home.”
