CORAL SPRINGS, FL – A coronavirus testing site will open in Coral Springs, possibly as early as this weekend.
Coral Springs City Manager Frank Babinec said Wednesday that the testing will be free to residents, including those wanting to walk up to the testing location. Residents will be required to make appointments for the testing.
The location of the site and who will run it wasn’t explained.
“We can’t wait to get it open for the public to use as a resource,” said Babinec, who expects more details to come out in the coming days.
New coronavirus walk-up sites have been opening across South Florida in recent weeks especially in low-income communities where the number of COVID-19 cases were high.
