CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Public schools in Coral Springs and across Broward County indicated Tuesday they are planning to start the new school year teaching virtually, although official decision has yet to be made on what schools will look like when they re-open.
Schools across the region sent out messages to parents stressing that point: “Barring any significant, conflicting guidance received at a later date, our school district is preparing to open in a district-wide eLearning instructional model for the 2020/21 school year.”
Broward County School Board members will continue their discussions on Wednesday regarding school re-opening. They will discuss what teachers, students and families can expect when schools re-opens, which, for now, is scheduled for Aug. 19.
School officials in Palm Beach County Public Schools on Tuesday pushed for a later start on Aug. 31.
