CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Secure your outdoor furniture and use extra caution when driving on Thursday.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory from 8 am on Thursday until 8 am on Friday for Broward County.

Forecasters expect eastern winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts of more than 35 mph. They warn that gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and tree limbs could be blown down, causing power outages.

The chance of rain and thunderstorm will increase across the region on Thursday, with brief heavy rainfall and lightning possible at times.
