CORAL SPRINGS, FL – Earlier this month, just after midnight, a 19-year-old allegedly attempted to break into a car in a Coral Springs apartment complex, but the car was locked, a police report said.
Then, Kajun Duckett allegedly tried to open another car in the same complex, but it too was locked, the report said.
A person living nearby who saw the incident called the police.
Before long, Duckett, who lives in Coral Springs, was arrested, charged with two counts of burglary, and then taken to Broward County jail.
According to the report, police found Duckett in a car with three other males near the cars he attempted to open on the night of July 2. They were smoking marijuana.
Duckett denied trying to break into the cars in the apartment complex, whose name and address were not provided in the report.
After investigating, police released the other males and gave them a warning about smoking marijuana.
