CORAL SPRINGS, FL – A Coral Springs man has had his driver’s license suspended 11 times, a police report said.
He is 18-years-old.
Malik Henderson was taken into custody on March 30 after he allegedly sped past in his Chevy Impala and didn’t “move over” for a police officer working another traffic stop on Royal Palm Boulevard, the report said.
When the officer went after Henderson and stopped him on North University Drive, the officer discovered Henderson’s lengthy suspended license history.
According to the report, Henderson’s most recent license suspension was on Feb. 9.
Before that, his license was canceled on Aug. 20 and Feb. 17.
There’s more: on March 13, he was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license with knowledge.
Despite all of that, he was driving on March 30 when he was stopped for going an estimated 45 miles an hour in a 40 miles an hour zone, the report said. He made no attempt to slow down to 20.
When the officer approached him, Henderson told the officer he didn’t have his driver’s license, the report said.
The officer arrested him for driving with a suspended license with knowledge and failing to reduce speed for a parked emergency vehicle.
He was taken to Broward County Jail.
