CORAL SPRINGS, FL – An illegal immigrant allegedly rammed his car into a United States Postal Service vehicle at least 13 times in a Coral Springs apartment complex while he was visibly intoxicated, a police report said.

Noel Isaac Castanon Gomez, 23, already faced deportation when he was charged with criminal mischief and DUI on April 13, the report said.

The driver of the postal service vehicle, Trevance Taylor, told police he was delivering a package to an apartment in the 4300 block of Riverside Drive when Gomez began hitting his vehicle. After getting Gomez’s attention, Taylor told officers Gomez intentionally continued to reverse his Dodge Charger and hit the postal service vehicle, over and over again. The estimated damage to the postal service vehicle is $900.

When police arrived, it took Gomez about 20 minutes to get out of his car, the report said. Gomez had trouble standing and was slurring his words. He later told officers that he only had three beers.

As officers investigated, they discovered that Gomez had a previous deportation order. He was living in Coral Springs at the time of his April 13 arrest. He was taken to Broward County Jail and federal immigration officers were notified.
