CORAL SPRINGS, FL – An 18-year-old man allegedly punched and kicked his girlfriend many times because he was upset that he could not find his car keys in their Coral Springs apartment, a police report said.

Michael Watts was arrested and charged with domestic violence battery.

During the couple’s fight on Feb. 22, Watts told police he was cut by a knife that his girlfriend had grabbed in the kitchen, the report said. Police saw bruises and cuts on his girlfriend’s face, arm and back. Police determined that Watts, who is unemployed, was the aggressor in the fight, the report said.

The couple has a child together.

Watts was among the people arrested by Coral Springs police between Feb. 19 and 25.

- Craig Andrew Stern, 33, was arrested on a charge of battery, touch or strike, domestic violence.

- Chiquita Nicole Mcfadden, 35, was arrested on a charge of petit theft, third offense.

- Cruise Christopher Gray, 28, was arrested on a charge of failure to return hired vehicle.

- Dawnmarie Elizabeth Lugo, 28, was arrested on a charge of shoplifting/petit theft.

- Syndi Waikena Jarido, 45, was arrested on a charge of DUI.

- Pablo Cesar Vinuela, 22, was arrested on a charge of battery, touch or strike, domestic violence.

Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
