Advanced Financial FCU is celebrating 50 years in Business

On April 23rd ,2015 Advanced Financial FCU had our first open house in

our Cranford branch  to Celebrate 50 years in business. We were formed

in 1965 by Bell Labs employees at their  Murray Hill facility . Back then

we were only open to Bell Labs employees who felt the need for a Credit

Union to help them save money or borrow a little cash .ŠNow after 50

years we are open to the public. Anyone who lives , works or worships

in Union County is able to join Advanced Financial.  We went from only

a tiny small branch to five full branches that provide all our member's

banking needs .

We also welcomed our New Board member Paul Aszklar . Paul had been a

member of Advanced Financial Since 1999 He is a resident of Cranford

where  has lived for 16 years with his wife and two sons.

Paul worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield where he established  his

relationship with Advanced Financial.

For the past five years Paul has worked at Kistler Tiffany as a

Benefits Consultant , managing their Wall township office .

We look forward to having Paul on the  Board.

Chlorine Drum Rupture Shuts Down Nomahegan Swim Club in Westfield

WESTFIELD, NJ — A ruptured chlorine drum has forced closure of Nomahegan Swim Club on Springfield Avenue Friday afternoon.

According to a Westfield police officer on the scene, a 1,000-gallon drum of chlorine ruptured.
