CRANFORD, NJ - The "Afternoon of Song" benefit concert held on May 31, was successful in its mission of raising funds and awareness for breast cancer. The concert held at the United Methodist Church saw many people brave the rain to attend a concert filled with rich voices, piano accompaniment, and clarinet and oboe duets. Some of the pieces included, the crowd favorite "Taylor the Latte Boy" and the "Taylor the Latte Boy Rebuttal" both by Zina Goldrich as well as the "Habanera" from Georges Bizet's Carmen and "La Donne è Mobile" from Verdi's Rigoletto. The event raised over $1800 for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure. Samantha and Nancy Dango extended their thanks to everyone in attendance for their generous donations.
