UNION, NJ – Bank employees are still confirming the amount of money taken from the robbery yesterday at the Chase Bank at 1224 Stuyvesant Avenue.  Just after 3:00 p.m. Union Police responded to a report of a bank robbery.

Police reported the bank was robbed by one man, who presented a threatening note.  The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and the man fled on foot. 

The suspect was described as a very dark skinned black male, medium build, with a shiny black bubble jacket (possible Marmot brand), black Yankee's cap, black sweat pants and black and white sneakers. The suspect had his face covered and dark tinted sunglass.

The police report that this crime is being investigated by Detective Sergio Pereira.  They are requesting that if anyone has any information, please contact the Union Police Department Detective Bureau at 908-851-5030.
