METUCHEN, NJ -- Recent rains postponed Senior Day ceremonies for both Scotch Plains-Fanwood and Saint Joseph High School in May. With few remaining open dates on the calendar because of state tournament play, coaches Mike Murray of St. Joe's and Joe Higgins of Scotch Plains-Fanwood decided to schedule a game and have a shared celebration.

Higgins was able to introduce his graduating Raiders players on the field before the game. Murray, in turn, acknowledged the graduating Falcons, who were escorted onto the field by their families. After the contest, St. Joe's hosted a barbecue for both teams and their families.

"It was very nice for them to do this today and invite our families to the barbecue," Higgins told TAPintoSPF.
