Board Member Brenda Williams-Butts Receives Women of Power Award

Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County CEO, Russell Triolo with Brenda Williams-Butts at Women of Power Awards Gala

Union, NJ - Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County is honored to recognize our Board member, Brenda Williams-Butts, for her achievements at the 10th Annual Women of Power Awards Scholarship Gala.

Brenda received the 2016-2017 “Women Of Power” Award from Progressive Achievers Inc. “It is an honor to recognize one of our Board members for her outstanding achievements,” said Russell Triolo, Chief Executive Officer. “I could not think of anyone who deserves this award more than Brenda. Not only is Brenda committed to our organization as a Board member, but to her community as well. We are all so proud of her.”

Progressive Achievers Inc. began in 1995 and they strive to make a difference in the world. They support their members’ participation in a variety of different organizations and also support women and young girls in need of better health and a better education. Their mission is to empower, educate and motivate women, as they strive to encourage them to maintain a positive outlook on life while realizing they have the ability for greatness. Progressive Achievers Inc. honors its members for their hard work, and their efforts to make a difference. The Women of Power Award is given to members who demonstrate an “Excellence in Leadership”, and for their contributions and humanitarian deeds to their communities. Congratulations to Brenda and all of the honorees.

Summer Program registration is now open at our Union, Plainfield and Elizabeth Clubs. Boys & Girls Clubs of Union County offers youth programs in 5 communities during the school year in Union County: Plainfield, Elizabeth, Union, Hillside and Roselle. Teen leadership programs for ages 14-18 are available in Union, Elizabeth and Plainfield. Members participate in character, leadership, career preparation and community service activities throughout the year.
