ROSELLE, NJ — The body recovered Easter Sunday in Warninanco Park Lake is that of Richard Ince, 57, of Linden, Union County Police Department Officer in Charge Chris Debbie and Acting Union County Prosecutor Grace H. Park announced Thursday.

Ince was last seen by family members on December 28, 2014, and subsequently reported “missing” to Linden Police Department, according to the prosecutor’s office. The identity was confirmed Wednesday through DNA analysis.

In April, an autopsy conducted by the Union County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed no scars or obvious signs of trauma to the body, and cause of death was ruled accidental. The autopsy results also appeared to indicate that the body had been partially or fully submerged underwater for a period of two to three months, the prosecutor’s office said. A final report is still pending.

In April, Union County police released photos of a tattoo found on the body in hopes that someone would help ID the victim.
