CRANFORD, NJ – The Fourth of July is just around the corner and Cranford is preparing for a day of festivities leading up to fireworks. Here is the schedule for Cranford’s July 4th celebrations:
The Cranford Canoe Club will hold its annual canoe races at 8 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the club, 250 Springfield Avenue.
“There are a lot of Fourth of July activities planned, “Commissioner Mary O’Connor said at Tuesday night’s Cranford Township Committee meeting. “Come out and enjoy the festivities in town.”
The Cranford Jaycees Annual Fourth of July Firecracker Four-Miler and Fun Run kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on the 4th at Nomahegan Park. The four-mile starts at 9 a.m. Registration information can be found here.
After the race, Nomahegan Park will feature food vendors, games and amusements from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The fireworks will begin promptly at 9:15 p.m. in Nomahegan Park. Residents are encouraged to walk to the park if possible.
“Cranford does a great job putting on Fourth of July celebrations,” Commissioner Andis Kalnins said at the meeting. “Please come out and enjoy our town. I hope to see you there.”
