CRANFORD, NJ – Fourth of July weekend is here and it’s time for fireworks, food and fun. There’s many towns in the area to celebrate Independence Day.
Cranford will host activities throughout the day on July 4. The day starts with canoe races, continues with the Cranford Jaycees Firecracker Four Miler and Fun Run, and culminates with festivities and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. in Nomahegan Park. A full schedule for the day can be read here.
Kenilworth will hold its annual fireworks display and parade on July 2. The parade begins at 5:30 and proceeds to Harding School, where the Kenilworth Recreation Department puts on live music, a DJ, games, face painting and food. The fireworks will begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. More information can be read here.
Westfield begins its annual Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival at 7 p.m. on July 4. On July 6, the Westfield Community Band will put on a patriotic performance in Mindowaskin Park. More information on the event can be read here.
Clark will hold its annual fireworks display on July 4 at Arthur L. Johnson High School. Food, ice cream, music and shopping will open at 7 p.m. with fireworks to follow. More information can be read here.
