Center for Hope Hospice to Host Auxiliary Wine Tasting in Westfield

The Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care Auxiliary will be hosting it's Annual Wine Tasting from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.on Sunday, June 5.  The festivities will take place at 16 Prospect Street Wine Bar and Bistro located on Prospect in Westfield.

The event will feature passed hors d'oeuvres and tasting of various wines. There will be a silent auction including wondereful items such as rounds of golf for four, electronics, tickets to metropolitan area attractions, family adventures and fantastic baskets of wine and wine accessories. All this makes for an afternoon of wine, food, friends and fun ... all in support of a wonderful cause.

The tickets are $50 and can be purchased from chairwoman Helga Thomas who can be reached at 908-889-6287. Inquiries can also be made at the Hope Chest Thrift Store located at 26 Prospect Street in Westsfield. The phone number of the store is 908-233-9973.

The Auxiliary supports the Center for Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, a non-profit organization located in Scotch Plains. The Center providees loving care for terminally ill patients and their families in two residential facilities and also in a patient's home.  The care is provided regardless of a patient's financial situation, race, age, religion or ethnicity.

The Auxiliary raises funds through various fundraising activities throughout the year.  One of the principal fundraisers in the Hope Chest Thrift Store.  The store sells new or gently used clothing, housewares, books and jewelry. Donations are welcome Tuesday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Anyone interested in more inormation regarding the Auxiliary is invited to visit the Hope Chest and speak with a volunteer or to call the Center at 908-889-7780 or to check out the website at www.centerforhope.com. The Auxiliary always welcomes new members.
