FLEMINGTON, NJ – Congressman Leonard Lance, U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, announced he will hold his annual Service Academy Information Fair for high school students.

"I look forward to the Service Academy Information Fair every year and meeting the talented and poised young leaders from our district,” said Congressman Lance.

The annual event allows students to meet with academy officials to learn more about the admissions process and how to pursue their interests in serving the Nation.

“One of the most rewarding parts of the job of serving in Congress is shaking the hands of the young men and women who step forward to serve their country and ask for appointment to one of our Nation’s service academies,” added Lance. “I encourage all interested high school students to attend and meet and talk directly with service academy admissions representatives."

Representatives from the U.S. Military Academy, the United States Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy, the Merchant Marine Academy and the Coast Guard Academy are expected to participate.

“This Fair is so all students and parents can have their questions answered and gain an understanding of the competitive application process. I am eager to meet the next class of applicants,” said Lance.

The Fair will be held at the Raritan Valley Community College Conference Center at 118 Lamington Road in Branchburg from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 16.

Students with questions should contact John Malone for more information.

Additionally, representatives from Lance’s congressional staff will be available to answer questions from students about the nominating process.

Lance’s service academy fair is free and open to all Seventh District high school students. Students should register in advance at lance.house.gov/academyday.
