CRANFORD, NJ – The Cranford Area Chamber of Commerce Spring Street Fair drew thousands of guests, according to CACC executive director Dottie Baniewicz.
The fair started at 11 a.m. under clouds and wind, but that didn’t stop attendees from flocking to the streets filled with games, shops and food vendors. The animal adoption tent was a big draw, Baniewicz said.
“It’s going very well,” Baniewicz said. “We expect to see 20,000 people today and have at least 160 vendors.”
Families, teens and pets poured in to see the inflatable games and buy empanadas, ice cream and lemonade. Music was provided by DJ’s and tents rented by radio stations, including New Jersey 101.5 and Fresh 102.7.
“We thank everyone for coming and especially the police and fire department for their help,” Baniewicz said. “We all work together, we couldn’t do this by ourselves.”
