CRANFORD, NJ – The Cranford Board of Education has approved the piloting of two tuition-based full-day kindergartens for the 2016-2017 school year, pending sufficient enrollment. In anticipation of high-interest in the program, participation will be based on a lottery.
Children who will be five by Oct. 1, 2016 and are Cranford residents are eligible for the program.
Applications must be hand delivered by 3:30 p.m., Jan. 26 to the Office of the Superintendent, 132 Thomas St. Applications will not be accepted after this date. If your child is selected, you will be notified by telephone shortly after Jan.26.
The price for the full-day kindergarten program is $660 per month. Applications are available in the main offices of all of the elementary schools, as well as; www.cranfordschools.org. For additional information or any questions, call the superintendent’s office 908-709-6200.
Please note the location(s) of the full-day program is contingent upon the number of students enrolled. Parent/guardians will be responsible for transportation.
Children in the program will be place in their neighborhood school for first grade, for 2017-2018.
Registration for half-day kindergarten will be held Feb. 16- Feb. 19.
