CRANFORD - The Cranford Board of Education honored the 16 district employees who announced they are retiring.
According to Superintendent Dr. Scott Rubin, the 16 retirees combine for 373 years of working in the school district, an average of 23 years each. Rubin also said that 14 of the 16 served 20 or more years in the district.
"It's really extraordinary," said Rubin. "I think that says something amazing about your dedication to education and our school community, and I think it also says something about our school community and the longevity that people have here in serving Cranford Public Schools."
