CRANFORD, NJ – The first-ever Cranford Tuff Paddle, sponsored by Cranford Community Connections, will task participants with navigating the streams and trails of the Rahway River.
According to a press release from the organization, participants will race in teams of two as they run, paddle and tackle obstacles in various areas around Cranford.
The total running distance is about one mile, the total paddling is approximately 2.7 miles and the carrying of canoes is approximately 125 yards across McConnell Park, according to the press release.
“Cranford Tuff Paddle is not your typical team obstacle course fun run,” the press release reads. “There's only one obstacle you'll need to literally navigate: The Rahway River.”
Participants can race at their own pace. Canoes and life jackets will be provided, according to the press release.
The race will be held on Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration is required with an $80 fee for one team of two participants.
