CRANFORD - Four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Cranford since September 16. Currently, there are 7 active cases, according to Mayor Patrick Giblin.

All four of the new cases are residents living in the community. None are from a long-term care facility. The four new positives bring Cranford's total to 543 since the first reported case on March 17.

With no new fatalities, the number remains at 97. Of the 97, 84 have been residents living in one of Cranford's long-term care facilities, while 13 have been residents living in the community.

To protect the private medical information of these individuals, Cranford will not be releasing additional information about these cases. Residents are asked to respect the impacted residents right to privacy based on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
