CRANFORD - Eight new confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Cranford since Wednesday, July 29, according to the Township of Cranford newsletter.
All eight of the new cases were residents livings in the community. No new cases of residents living in a Cranford long-term care facility were reported. The eight new cases now bring Cranford's total to 518 since the first reported positive on March 17. With no new fatalities, the number remains at 96. Of the 96, 83 have been residents living in one of Cranford's long-term care facilities, while 13 have been residents living in the community.
To protect the private medical information of these individuals, Cranford will not be releasing additional information about these cases. Residents are asked to respect the impacted residents right to privacy based on the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
