CRANFORD, NJ – Cranford FamilyCare is seeking donations as summer begins.

The organization is asking for tuna, mayonnaise, snacks, instant mashed potatoes, rice mixes, canned pasta, canned hash, chili, condiments, complete pancake mix, peas, corn, baked beans and coffee.

“We have a very low pantry beginning to summer and really need some help,” Cranford FamilyCare wrote on their Facebook page.

The organization is located at 61 Myrtle Street in Cranford and is open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with limited hours on Friday. They can also be reached at 908-276-3530. A previous post advised donators to call ahead to make sure someone is at the location, but said no appointment is necessary.

“We have had two wonderful children using their own initiative to help us,” the Facebook page reads. “The lacrosse teams and the Orange Avenue School 3rd grade class are doing food drives. Many residents have also been kind enough to donate. But it goes fast. Thanks in advance for any help.”
