CRANFORD, NJ – Cranford firefighters extinguished a blaze in the second-floor residence above Simply…Art and Framing on North Union Avenue late Friday evening.

The firefighters were dispatched at approximately 10 p.m., according to the Breaking News Network.

The residents were out of the home when the firefighters arrived, according to Fire Chief Daniel Czeh. The fire was quickly extinguished, he said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A unit from Clark covered the town while the trucks were dispatched.

Firefighters were still on scene as of 11:45 p.m, preparing to leave.
