Cranford Gymnastics Captures Union County Title

CRANFORD, NJ - Cranford gymnastics captured the Union County Title with a score of 106.700, Friday in Westfield. 

It's the Cougars first title since 1989, taking the crown from the reigning Blue Devils of Westfield, who had previously won 10 straight. 

In the all-around competition Cranford had four gymnasts place in the top seven; 3, Kelly McAuliffe, 35.475 points, 4, Erin Infante, 35.450 points, 6, Gabby Markase, 34.9 points, 7, Bee Iosso, 34.850 points.

Finishing behind Cranford were Westfield, 106.150; Scotch Plains, 103.300; Summit, 102.775; Johnson, 102.250, Union Catholic, 95.375; Union, 90.775; Dayton, 90.350.

Earlier this month the team also won the Cougar Classic and look to extend its undefeated season, Monday when they host Union Catholic.
