CRANFORD, NJ – Cranford gymnastics placed third in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2 Tournament on Saturday and had two gymnasts qualify to move on to the state championship.

Freshman Erin Infante qualified in the all-around and sophomore Kelly McAuliffe qualified for the floor.

Coach Michele Charney-Hulse said, “I am beyond thrilled for Kelly and Erin. They are both great competitors and performed very well at sectionals. I am looking forward to states this coming weekend.”

The last time Cranford had a gymnast go to states was 2013.  Alexandra Puryear went in the all-around and also qualified for the national championship. Only seniors are able to go to nationals.

The championship is set for Saturday Nov. 14, at 11:00 am in Montgomery.
