CRANFORD, NJ – The Cranford Health Department will offer its annual Free Wellness Day on May 22 for qualifying seniors with Medicare.
The CHD is partnering with Woodbridge Medical Group, P.A. and Krause Dental care to offer 16 different screenings, including balance testing, glucose screening and bone density ultrasounds for osteoporosis.
“Screenings are the number one prevention tool for chronic disease,” Event contact Lindsay Prewitt said.
The program will take place at the Cranford Recreation Center on Monday, May 22 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Brunch and lunch will be offered in addition to an hourly raffle for Walgreens gift cards and a complementary $10 Walgreens gift card for Medicare participants.
Seniors can register at the recreation center or by calling 732-636-5252. Participants should bring their Medicare card, ID, and a list of medications. In addition, the CHD asks that participants abstain from caffeine for one hour prior to testing.
