CRANFORD, NJ – Congratulations to this week’s athletes of the week, Addison Chang and Maggie Murray. 

Chang, a senior on the varsity soccer team scored the game winning goal in the final minute of double- overtime, to lead the Cougars to a 2-1 victory over Nutley. Chang scored again with a first half goal to help the team to a 2-1 win over Plainfield on Saturday.  

“I’ve been playing soccer as long as I can remember, I love the team aspect of the sport,” said Chang.

The senior who has recently enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, spends his free time snowboarding and doing PT drills for the Corps.

Chang will report to Parris Island, SC on July 19, 2017.

Murray, a freshman on the varsity soccer team scored three goals in the season opening victory over Union Catholic and displayed great effort against No.7 Hunterdon Central. 

As a freshman playing at the varsity level Murray said, “It’s been exciting, the competition has been really good and the older girls have been really nice.”

When asked what it is about soccer she likes Murray said, “I always have something to do, I’m never bored and it takes my mind off of things.”

When Murray is not on the field, she likes to go to the beach and hang-out with her friends.
