CRANFORD, NJ – Congratulations to this week’s athletes of the week, sophomore varsity soccer player, Matt Medeiros, and sophomore varsity tennis player, Chloe Levy.

Medeiros scored four goals with two assists this past week, including two goals and an assist in Cranford’s county tournament victory over Linden. 

Levy, in her first year playing singles has earned the number one spot. She helped lead the team to a, 3-2, victory over Spotswood, in the quarterfinal round of the State Tournament.

Cranford H.S. Athletes of the Week: Anna Horne & Phil Marotta

CRANFORD, NJ - Due to impressive performances as goalies for varsity lacrosse, Anna Horne and Phil Marotta are Cranford High School's Athletes of the Week.

Horne, a junior, has 408 career saves. Her current total for the season is 84 saves as she helped lead the Cougars to victory in games against Montville and Governor Livingston.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Northside Kitchen’s fried chicken sandwich beat sandwiches from nine other local restaurants to win “Best Bite” by popular vote at Sandwichfest Sunday. Northside Kitchen is located at 760 Prospect St. in Westfield.
