CRANFORD, NJ - The Cranford High School Dance Academy Program attended the Regional High School Dance Festival in Norfolk, VA, March 15-19.  

The festival is open exclusively to schools with dance programs and features nine live concert dance performances, over 170 master classes, recruitment and scholarship opportunities for summer and college programs. 

Some of those earning opportunities were junior Anne Tantuico who was accepted into summer programs at the University of the Arts, Cornish College and Long Island University and senior Brenna Sautter who was accepted and awarded scholarships to Point Park University and Bates Dance Festival.

Two of the CHSDA dance films were featured in the festival's first annual 'Dance on Film' Showcase. Sophomore Emma DeBole premiered her short documentary 'When I Fell' along with the Academy 2/3 film 'Libra Sun'.  

Students had the opportunity to take classes with world renowned dancers and choreographers including, special guests from Batsheva Dance Company, Joffrey Ballet, Ballet West and Bates Dance Festival.  Emily Donahue, Director of Dance at CHS, also led a choreography workshop that was attended by over 50 students.  

The CHS Spring Dance Concert will be held May 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Cranford HS.
