*UPDATED @ 4:14 p.m.: Carlos Silva was located this afternoon and is returning to his home in Cranford.
CRANFORD - The Cranford Police Department is currently investigating a missing 59-year-old male resident who suffers from mental illness.
According to the release, the missing male, Carlos Silva of Cranford, was last seen on Monday, July 13 around 8:20 a.m. walking on Ludlow Avenue in Cranford. At that time, Silva was wearing a green-colored short sleeve shirt, blue jeans and tan work boots.
Silva is a Hispanic male, standing 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 200lbs. He is balding (gray hair) and has brown eyes. Silva has gone missing in the past, including last month, and is known to use mass transportation.
