CRANFORD, NJ- The Cranford Municipal Alliance recently held a lecture by George Scott, a family therapist from Mercer County.

His lecture, titled “Raising Resilient Children and Adolescents,” focused on the factors that lead to success at home, in school, and socially, according to Alexandra Paulyson, head of media relations for the CMA.

“Thank you so much for inviting me,” Scott said in his lecture. “I’ve been in Cranford before…so I know that there’s a vested interest here in raising healthy kids.”

The lecture was held at the Cranford Community Center and lasted for about an hour. Scott’s lecture included a PowerPoint presentation and encouraged parents to hold their children to high expectations and learn to recognize red flags.

“Over 40 people attended the lecture,” Paulyson said. “It was very well received.”
