CRANFORD, NJ – The Cranford Planning Board will not hear Hartz Mountain’s application during their October 18 meeting.
Confusion arose following Tuesday night’s Cranford Township Committee when Commissioner Ann Dooley, who is on the planning board, said the application won’t be heard. Other sources later said the application will be heard.
According to Dooley, the matter is confirmed adjourned without a new date. The next available date is the first meeting in December, she said.
Her comment was confirmed by Jay Rhatican of Hartz Mountain, who was in attendance at Tuesday’s meeting.
According to Rhatican, although the hearing is still scheduled for October 18, the planning board will announce at that meeting that the matter will be postponed.
“It likely won’t be until December or January,” Rhatican said.
